I’ve tried to live so many ways, so many colors, so many different days. I’ve looked down every city street, i’ve read every book, even locked myself up for weeks. Everyday I work on moving ahead. I did the chores, I tried breakin’ the thread. I read the bible, I went to church. I told my brothers and my sisters : this life is getting worse. Chorus : I’m a living suicide, deep in high tide, walking invisible lines, living impossible times. The weeks are numbered with colors dark as a hole. Everything runs into a zero. I heard the stories. I stood up, everybody told me to just give up. We will touch the oceans and feel the burning suns, free the troubles and the wars and the guns. Give us all the fortune to end this crazy game. Goodbye holy wars, goodbye holy shame.
2.
When you fist walked in, I felt it all break down. living suicide The pictures on the wall, the blood on the free to change ground. You had taken a trip with no direction home. Rolling down the windows, feeling the winds blow. Chorus : You’re free to love, you’re free to the cost change, you’re free to change love. She said she loved like everybody loves. I’m going to Mexico, gonna marry everyone.Making love to them all in the hot sun. Sharing everything until the kingdom comes. You can have everything you want now, you can be free and your own. Loving your neighbors like you love your own. Not needing anyone anymore than yourself. You’re scared, you’re alone, and you’re under control.

Angeline 03:22
Well he met her in a bar in the middle of the town, he brought her a drink and said : “what do you think?” ”Well, I’m kinda young and your kinda old, but the music you make makes my body shake.”To his surprise rivers rose in her eyes and through a beautiful stare, they fell in love right there. Chorus : Angeline, angel queen, he gave her everything to black cars and diamond rings. Then he took her home where he unplugged the telephone. When a week went by, they were still getting high. Then he took her hand, they had the wedding on the sand. Champagne and wine, they were doing so fine. The days went by, they had children that cried, they cried for nothing at all, as children do when they fall, like lovers fall in the dance of love and of chance, when the times comes to go it comes by so low. All the millions that were mine couldn’t help her this time, her golden ashes in a shrine will forever be mine.

The Cost 02:55
The prices are rising with the cost of freedom. Freedom has many names. Calling to the front lines, schools of all kinds, they’re turning our will into slaves. Come out and play, eat peaches everyday, understand the price of the cause. When you take the choice, study your invoice, knowledge is greater than war. Everybody pays for everything these days, from the rivers of the West to the East.Come out and play, eat peaches everyday, understand the price of the cause.Lighting never strikes the same place twice and when it strikes, it strikes with thunder. Looking through the smoke, everybody’s broke from the villas down to the dumps.Come out and play, eat peaches everyday, understand the price of the cause.

Deliah 02:52
Deliah don’t you let him down, take him into town, one last round before your gone. Count him in a couple of cards, you know it ain’t hard to ride a heart wrecked train ‘till the down. When the morning will come hang, you’ll be mangling and dangling his lexicon. Chorus : Looking down on love, flying high above. Broken gambler, beautiful rambler. Deliah’s love was a gamble, she loved to ramble and trample lonely hearts. She’ll take ‘em anywhere they want and anywhere they please, then get them down on their knees. The traps that she set are a beauty, a symphony of you and me lost at sea. Was it something that she wrote or something she spoke that broke the silent strings? Attached to his heart, it ripped him apart and his art of love drifted. He still sees her sailing and unveiling devising horizons.

Curly Waltz 03:53
She was a brittle curly haired girl twirling in a broken world. Like scattered glass on diamond dreams, her sparkles are a stream flowing down. It was a rusty old love from the start, she was skating on a thin heart. It gets colder everyday, freedom was lost on the way, flowing down. She held her future in her hands, there was dreams, gold and foreign lands. She fell in love with a stranger, there was laughter, there was anger flowing down. Now the moon hangs high in her windows, those memories pass like a train. Flowing through her veins, you can never stop the rain flowing down.
7.
Grace 03:10
She had the makeup on thick, heating up a club on park avenue. It was a friday night, she was running the show, when pain came drifting through. It was digging deeper, she gave it a home, why? nobody knows. Tumbling her over, the weeds were strong, shaking down her big windows. She had a ball with the devil, iron and confused, bleeding to the bone, avoided and exploited, sucking in all the poison, turning into stone. He took it all so quick, she was singing with his horns a blowin’, she had dust in her eyes, she was falling apart praying God, start moving. Waking up out of a dream, head on a pillow all tied up in knots, where did she fall? Now she’s free from man, God made her out of images of no other one. On wounded knees, kneeling down to pray “faith has given grace to everyone”.

Dripping on the roof just above your sweet smile, come over here miss, lets chat a while. The clouds are here now but are just traveling down, an open road full of mysteries and memories of the hot and of the cold. So keep your head up high and see them on their way, they’ll be gone soon and so be back again by some other way, until then just keep smiling like you do and let those dark days drip by on your head and on your shoes. Chorus : November rain, never seen it before and never again the same. Think back just a year ago you had hit the south, the sun was burning hot on your red lips and mouth. Everybody staring at your sweet smile, you let it all hang out and then hung around for a while. You gave it everything you had, you were feeling so great, you were driving them mad. Driving all their fortunes to where they should be, in the rain or in the sun, they keep coming to me.
